| Terra Ferma introduces you to the magic of the vertical
through guided climbing on super classic, multipitch climbs and courses
of all different levels. |
|
| |
| Climbing with Terra Ferma you will get
to know some of the best rock of the Costa Blanca without any of the
hassles of having to organise a holiday. Along the way, we will help
you improve your skills and knowledge in a safe and structured way,
preparing you for your future climbing adventures back home. |
|
| |
| The Costa Blanca mountains have become
widely recognised as one of the best climbing areas in Europe. The
great quantity, quality and variety of climbing within a relatively
small and easily accessible area makes this place an excellent destination.
This combined with the mild winters and the many cheap flights to
|
| Alicante, has meant that it has become a major destination
for climbers from all over the world. The dry and mild climate practically
guarantees you no cancellations or changes to your climbing program
due to bad weather. |
| |
| Within a radius of 25 kms., we have more
than 30 different sports climbing crags with compact limestone walls.
The crags are well equipped, mainly south facing and on the whole
the routes are technical face climbing with good friction. But sports
climbing is just the beginning. We have hundreds of trad routes longer
than 300m(900ft), some of which are 750m (2250ft) and there is much
more virgin rock waiting to be explored. |
|
| |
| Terra Ferma offers both guiding services and climbing
courses so that people can experience with us the great quality, beauty
and variety of climbing here. We have explored these mountains for
many years and our knowledge, experience and love of the area will
allow our clients to enjoy their holidays to the full. All the climbing
and teaching that we do is tailored to the experience and level of
fitness of each group. We have courses, climbs and activities of every
standard for you to learn or improve your techniques and skills without
forgetting the ethics of climbing and respect for the environment. |

| Super Classic Climbs |
 |
|
| We organise a special holiday climbing
on the most important massifs in our region (Penon de Ifach, Ponoch,
Puig Campana and the Divino de Sella). During a one-week period we
will guide you up four super classic traditional climbs on these massifs.
This unique holiday is aimed at climbers who dream of doing some of
the most impressive routes in the Costa Blanca, but havent the
time to organise it themselves. |
| |
| You will not have to worry about route finding, having
the right gear, or the descent. You will be free to simply enjoy the
rock and the magnificent views, the special solitude and the atmosphere
of these beautiful walls. |
|
| |
| In the mid 70s many of the obvious and elegant
lines in the area were opened and these routes have become some of
Spains most classic trad climbs. Because of the lack of information
and the birth of sport climbing, these old trad climbs have seen little
traffic and have retained their special character. |
|
| |
| There is an enormous range of routes of different
lengths and grades to chose from but we would like to mention just
a few examples to whet your appetite: "Via de las Hadas"
500m 6a on Monte Ponoig; The "Via dels Entorns" 750m 4+
on the west face of the Puig Campana; "Miguel Gomez" 300m
6a/Ao on the Peñon de Ifach. |
 |
| Climbing with an experienced local guide
allows you to do the routes that you always wanted to do. He will
guide you safely up routes that demand commitment and experience.
|
|
| |
| We can arrange accommodation and transport for you.
The first day you and your guide will make plans for the week. There
will be one day free to rest, go to the beach or do some sightseeing.
On the last day you will have time to pack up and if you like, to
do some shopping. |
|
| |
| Climbing courses |
 |
We have two basic programs, a beginners'
course and an advanced course, but the level of each course is finely
adjusted to your experience. |
| |
| We combine the technical skills of traditional climbing
with the more dynamic and gymnastic side of sports climbing. Everything
you learn here is standard knowledge and you will be able to apply
it directly back at home. |
| |
| The contents of the course are based on the Spanish
Mountain Federation course outline. |
| |
| We start off the course at your level
and then we assess you constantly, introducing new skills and techniques
as you progress. |
| |
| The aim of the courses is to prepare you so that at
the end of the course you can carry on with confidence without the
support of the instructor, organising your own climbing adventures
in a safe way. |
| |
| You can do the course without us organising your food
or accommodation. |
